5 Months Left: Are You Creating a Memory or a Milestone?

5 Months Left: Are You Creating a Memory or a Milestone?

I heard a podcast the other day that inspired me to write this particular blog post. I will give you the cliff notes version of what was said. We’re five months away from wrapping up the year.

This is the point where many people start to pull back. The energy of January’s resolutions has worn off, distractions creep in, and the “I’ll start fresh next year” mindset begins to whisper in our ears.

But here’s the thing—while so many are leaning out, you have the chance to lean in.

This year—will it be just a memory, or will it be a milestone?

You were made for more.

Decision Time

A true decision doesn’t leave room for “plan B.” It’s a line in the sand—a commitment to do what you said you would do, no matter how long it takes, how uncomfortable it feels, or how many obstacles show up.

You’ve wished. You’ve hoped. You’ve dabbled. Now it’s time to decide:

Comfort or conviction? Excuses or excellence?

Burn the boat. Plant the flag. Commit and commit again.

The How: Turning Inspiration Into Action

Inspiration without action is just hype. And guess what? Five months is plenty of time to make magic happen.

But it requires focus. This is not the season for loose boundaries or constant distractions.
    •    Limit distractions. Break up with the endless social media scroll.
    •    Build systems. Routines and habits will define your success.
    •    Be intentional. Every action should align with your goals.
    •    Engage in the right conversations. Surround yourself with people and ideas that inspire growth.
    •    Focus on income-producing activities.
    •    Move your body. Physical energy fuels mental energy.
    •    Encourage others. Your business and influence grow as you help others grow.

Your habits reflect your priorities. And yes, people are watching—clients, peers, even strangers. They don’t need to see perfection. They need to see presence, energy, and purpose.

Commitment vs. Comfort

You can’t live in both.

Commitment looks like:
    •    Showing up when it’s hard.
    •    Doing the work when no one is watching.
    •    Saying “no” to what’s easy so you can say “yes” to what’s worthy.

Comfort looks like:
    •    Shrinking when things get tough.
    •    Scrolling instead of doing.
    •    Waiting until next year.
    •    Talking more than doing.

The difference? Commitment changes you. Comfort keeps you the same.

Finish Strong

Push through. Keep going. Finish what you started.

Recommit. Reset your calendar. Rewire your story. Reignite your purpose.

And run—not with desperation, but with joy, positivity, and determination.

This is your time to level up, take the wheel, and lead the ship of your life and career.

Because you? You were made for more.
